Groundbreaking ceremony
The foundation stone of the free eye hospital was laid in Bhalwal at a ceremony attended by a large gathering of political and social leaders and local residents, with Sahibzada Pir Ahsan Hafeez as chief guest.
Speaking at the event, Ch. Muhammad Hanif said he had been inspired to build the hospital by the Pir Sahib of Kadhar Shareef, who performed more than 400,000 eye operations. He said that serving people in distress is the greatest form of worship, that the hospital would — In Sha Allah — be built soon to provide free treatment, and he appealed to philanthropists to take part in this good work.
